I plan on having platoon night on Wednesday, February 1st at 6pm CST. If you are unable to attend please let me know. we have not had a good platoon night since I took over and I want that to change. We need to train a little bit together and start to find out what our strengths and weaknesses are. There was a post in the Suggestions thread about having squad battles and platoon fights and I think we should jump at the opportunity to show what we are made of. There are a lot of good members here and I would like the chance to showcase what you all can do.

In other platoon news, I will be picking a new XO soon, so until then pm me or post here with any questions, comments or concerns you may have. Also, if you find a Recruit you think would be a good fit in one of our open spots, or if someone you know wants to transfer into 1st Platoon, please pm me so I can decide who will be chosen to fill our empty slots.

There should only be 1 open slot. Unless Arena has changed his mind and is willing to accept my challenge, I should be in slot 4 of fireteam alpha.

And just so that everyone is FULLY aware, this IS NOT a 1v1 between Arena and I. This is just a friendly compitition. We are both on the same team. Best 3 out 5 ratings wins it.

This means that should 1 of us get the better ratings in 3 straight games, the other 2 games DO NOT need to be played.

This is exactly what ODST Matty and I did to decide which of us should move into the open spot in Alpha. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I really don't see the point of practicing as a platoon, as we don't play as platoons when were online. If a bunch of people are online they just get together to play customs, it makes more sense to practice as a clan if anything.

Toast, I see where you are coming from, but that is the whole point of the platoon night. It is to help us start making the effort to play games with our platoon members. Also like I said, possibility of platoon wars comming up and I think we should be ready.

I will be expecting everyone to be there unless you tell me you cant make it.

I'm making this post to prevent some people from stating how I am a bad leader because I was not at my scheduled platoon night, but sometimes life throws you some curve balls and you have to deal with them accordingly.
