Gonzalez took pot-shots at the Covenant forces that were running across the road towards what seemed to be a police station. He could see rifles firing back at them, keeping them out. His com went off a couple of times, first time was from Dragon who was headed to the rendevous, as was Reaper. He tried to get ahold of Captain Spice, but only heard static. "what the-" whispered Gonzalez as he saw the Covenant retreat from the building, something never done by the Covenant. That is when he saw them. 4 Hunters started across towards the building, Gonzalez quickly got on an open channel and told whoever was in there to watch themselves. "You got 4 hunters comin' in, you better find something to kill them with, or find a place to hide." He recieved a response from the people inside, acknowledging the information. Gonzalez aimed again and fired at the Hunter closest to the door. He hit the small of its back, where the orange skin showed. It fell over and died, angering it's partner who began to shoot inside the building.
Gonzalez shot again, but it did not kill the hunter, who turned towards the direction Gonzalez was and looked around.

Heading to closest Pod DZ

Joker walked down the sides of the street, there were many dead things in the street lying there. A few elites and grunts, some jackals as well. But hundreds of civilians lay dead in a pool of their red blood. Plasma burns were on their cloths, Joker just shook his head and continued to walk. When he reached the pod he knew who's it was. It was Captain Spice. His pod had a four leaf clover on it painted on. When he reached the other side of the pod he was horrified. Struck with terror Joker fell down. The Pod was ripped open by an obvious direct hit from one of the AA wraiths. What was left of the interior was covered in blood, bone, and steel. The chair itself was a gore bag. Drew put his hand into the pod and pulled out a dog tag, he strapped it around his. He pulled out what ever ammo he could find and began to walk towards the rendezvous point. Joker switched his friend or foe tag to JOKR from his previous tag of O21C.

Fighting towards the Rendezvous

Joker saw details of recent fighting. Newly burnt plasma shots on the wall and bullet holes along the walls. He looked up seeing detailed 4 or 5 story buildings raising up with a few skyscrapers reaching towards the sky. He turned the corner to see a firefight still going on. Four marines all in a defendable position firing their MA5's against a squad of elites and grunts. Joker stayed in cover and raised his BR. Squeezing his trigger he let loose a 3 round burst , and repeating the action multiple times he killed the elite. The Marines realizing there were friendlies in the area moved up firing and slaughtering the routed grunts. Over the Com he heard a marine say "Who-ever you are, come down here, I wanna see who saved our lives." Joker obliged and began to walk down the street.

Waiting for back-up at Rendezvous

Looking around the forested area, he would notice a small grunt looking percuriously around the site of the Rendezvous. Smiling to himself, he moves the sights of his DMR towards the grunts head, squeezing the trigger lightly. A single shot falls from the barrel of the DMR and impacts the grunt in the head, letting a blue splatter of blood fall on the wall behind the small creature. Radioing Joker, "Hurry the fuck up, I'm gettin' bored over here." He awaits the rest of the team to join him.

Joker saw the Marines, one was wounded and the other three looked excused. Joker spoke " Hey, whats your unit?" The marine who was obviously incharge was a Corporal by the looks of it and he spoke "3-2 Charlie... or well, we are all thats left of 3-2. The Covie half of the city... well thats were most of us were. But Its good to see the good ol' hell jumpers dropped in." Joker gave a nod, and spoke, " I'm happy to help, now I got a date to make with some Covie bastards and some friends of mine. See you around." He ran off back into the street, about 4 blocks away from the Rendezvous. Drew Turned the corner to see a dead hunter lay there in the street. He knew they traveled in packs so he set out a com message to anybody who could hear him " This is Joker, by this the looks of it I'm on Hillford Street, I got me a dead Hunter with no buddy."

Lloyd rested, awaiting further orders from his officers, nothing but static filled the comms. Lloyd had recently broke a firefight up, saving two marines and an injured civilian in the process. Lloyd rose, brought his binoculars from around his neck up towards his eyes and peered out of them via an open pateo. Something moved, something big. Lloyd rested his binoculars, and lowered a hand down to land a secure grip on his sniper, he slowly brought it up and rested it on his lap, he checked the clip, two rounds remained. Lloyd brought the barrel square on to the ledge he was beside and peered down the thermal, it was clean. Lloyd rested his sniper back by his side.
" This is Lloyd, does anybody read me...god damnit is anyone alive over?"
Nothing but static filled the surrounding area, buildings on fire, homes destroyed and one ODST in a city full of Covies.

Engaged with Hunters

Gonzalez reloaded quickly as the Hunter began to aim his fuel rod cannon at him. He finished reloading and pulled his rifle up to aim at the Hunter. All he saw through the scope was the bright-green glow from the cannon charging. He aimed for the point that seemed to be its neck.
He fired, twice and it began to fall over as it fired its shot off into the ground, injuring the hunter next to him.
The third hunter was shot down by the people inside the building, and the last remaining hunter seemed pissed off. He charged into the building, taking several bullets into his body, but it didnt stop him. "Shit.." Gonzalez yelled as he got up and ran towards the building, but before even reaching it he hearding screaming through the com. He didnt hear any assault rifles firing also...

Seeing Terror's Face

Joker saw a blast of green explode into a building infront of him he also heard screams. I guess he found the hunter. He ran into the corner of the building seeing the monster. He swore to himself, and pulled up his BR and a frag. He pulled the pin and let the grenade fly. He counted then heard an explosion. He then turned the corner and began opening fire on the hunter looking for its orange gaps in its armor.

Myself, and three other ODSTs, were running through the city streets. Hearing the shells of a Hunter. "You know how they work, watch ur self." We ran up to the street, seeing a few of our ODSTs, and the local police force and UNSC, cover the Police Station. "Move in and attack." I pulled up my rifle and started to move in, going in slow bursts at first, but when I got closer, started burning the clips in em.

7 hours after drop, securing buildings and surrounding area

"This is Blitz does anybody read me, for god's sake somebody, anybody, I can't do this on my own"
Lloyd stopped dead in his tracks, he sank to the floor and cried restlessly to himself, a fellow marine that he saved from a firefight walked up behind him and rested a steady hand on his shoulder.
"It's not your fault" spoke the marine calmly.
"Yes it is, if only I listened, if only I listened to them instead of doing my own thing maybe they would have made it, why them, why not me...I cannot bare it any longer!"
A huge scream sounded throughout the city, one more terrifying than any they had heard before. Lloyd quickly grabbed his sniper from the floor and lined himself up against the wall, he slowly looked around the corner then back.
"Oh shit, oh shit..."
He took another look quickly.
"What is it?" questioned the marine
Blitz rushed over to the marine grabbed his hand and rushed inside of a half demolished building. Inside, the old abandoned building was nothing but pitch black surroundings, and the sound of leaking taps and burst water mains.
Lloyd relaxed himself against a window pane which overlooked the road which the screams came from.
"Hey, ODST what's out there?"
"It's the covies alright, but it's not the usual, I don't know what the hell it is"
Lloyd and Steve, the injured marine quietly rested in this building, there was nothing but utter silence, and the feeling of dread that filled the young ODST's mind.
Lloyd sat up, signalling the marine with a quick wave of his hand. Together they carefully crept through the demolished building back through the route they came in through. The marine slowly stopped the ODST from proceding any further and walked out alone.
"The coasts clear come... arrrrw..."
"What no wait (bang) fuckers (bang)!"
Lloyd quickly emptied his remaining rounds into the darkness hitting nothing, and making a hollow sound as they rebounded off walls in the far distance. Lloyd knowing his weapon was empty, carefully placed the weapon on his back, after that he slowly equipped an M7 Caseless Submachine gun from his left hip. Checked to see if it was loaded, and quickly rushed back up to the spot he was just before the incident, this time he went further and further into the creepy, abandoned building knowing that what was outside would soon come for him.
Blitz pushed and pushed until his legs would carry no more to which he reached the point where he collapsed, with a heavy thud to the floor, he knew that the wound he conceded back when he landed had became infected, the reason for his collapse was this. Blitz crawled over to a window pane, much like the one before, but this one had a desk infront of it. Lloyd made no fuss and dragged himself onto the metal table which was securely fixed to the eroded ground. Blitz knew the chances of making it out alive were slim, but none the less he made a final attempt to reach someone on the radio.
"This is...Blitz, the covenant have a new type of creature, I repeat, the covenant...have a new biological form amongst their ranks, please proceed with caution. Does anybody read over..."

..........You know, I started off having a good day; I was told I was going to get to kill some more covie bastards, my favorite sport, I got to get my favorite gun (shotgun), but more than anything i was just happy i was going to get to blow shit up. Flash forward 8 hours, and I'm pinned behind a destroyed warthog, my drive dead, and my gunner crying like a kindergartener that just dropped his pudding.

I was cleaning my rifle while the other ODSTs were freaking out trying to get prepared. "Ha ha ha, damn FNGs" I whispered to myself. We were dropping any time now to assist the first ODSTs and Marines on the ground. I put my rifle back together, stood up, and grabbed my helmet and made my way to my pod.

Merkin' the Elite fag.

Walking over to the scene of the cannibaled Cow, he would look to the Elite known as 'Henry', smiling. He would grab onto the plasma grenades on a nearby Grunt. Grabbing onto them and activating them. He hurrls the activated plasma at the Elite. The grenade sticks onto his face, whilst his mouth is open. He would smile, step closer and close the doors behind him as he walks out of the small area he was in with the Elite. Hearing an explosion and a loud 'BLAAARGH-OOONKK'. He would smile to himself as he meets up with Joker at the rendezvous.

Abandoned Building, 9 hours after drop

Lloyd stared hopelessly out of the window, lowering his hand to his knee, where there was a satchel attached to his Armour, he opened this satchel and removed two objects from it, a letter and what seemed to look like an iPod. He placed the letter carefully back inside and flicked through the iPod, he removed his dented, cracked helmet from his blood-filled face, placed two ear muffs in his ears then put his helmet back on and placed the iPod back in his satchel. He carefully climbed off the table, leaning against the wall for support as his leg pounded, M7 by his side, he walked back to the entrance with the sound of music filling the area.
When he reached the entrance he slowly peered out, nothing, but he knew that they were still out there.
"Well, we all have to go someday"
Blitz slammed two fists on his Armour and exclaimed "It's been an honor!"
He walked out into the middle of the street, there he stood for a minute or so, staring blankly into space. What had taken the marine was no longer here, he looked around confused, slowly picking himself up and gave a steady, painful jog down the street in hope of finding other ODST's on his way to the rendezvous point.
Never in his life did Lloyd expect to be alive after 9 hours of pain induced morphine and an infected leg. He prowled the streets passing abandoned vehicles, demolished houses and death.
" This is Blitz does anybody read me over?"
Nothing, either the communications link was down or everybody was dead, Lloyd made no hesitation and pushed on.

Clearing out Covenant

As Gonzalez got onto the sidewalk of the police station, he saw a squad of ODSTs come from his right. He checked the FOF tags and saw that it was Dark, Outlaw and 2 other ODSTs who are on their first drop. "Dark, that hunter's probably holding up in their now... watch yourself" Bear walked into the police station and saw the carnage the Hunter caused. Blood everywhere, police officers and civilians just all over the lobby. "Damn...." Gonzalez shook his head and kept walking.
